Why can't we look directly at the sun?
The light from the sun is very harmful for our eyes. Looking directly at the sun can cause life-long eye-related problems. When we try to look at the sun with our naked eyes, our brain identifies the light as harmful and hence our eyes start to 'involuntarily' blink or quint so as to protect our eye from the harmful rays of the sun.
