Once there was an argument between the sun and wind about who was stronger than the other. They both claimed to be stronger. They argued for a long time but were not able to decide who was stronger. They saw a traveller wrapped in a blanket walking on the road and decided to take a trial to decide who was stronger. “Whoever separates the blanket from the traveller is stronger, do you agree?” said the wind. The sun agreed and asked the wind to try first. The wind started blowing. The traveller wrapped the blanket tightly. The wind started blowing harder but the traveller wrapped his blanket more firmly. The wind tried harder but failed.Now it was Sun’s turn. The sun gently smiled at the traveller. The traveller loosened the grip on the blanket. The sun started shining brighter. The traveller felt the warmth and took off his blanket. Eventually, the sun was declared stronger. Moral:Fury or force cuts no ice where gentleness does the job. Sometimes gentleness is mightier than the strongest force.

Once upon a time in a small village lived a gardener who grew different varieties of fruits, he was amongst the few who grew such fresh fruits and sold them.It was a custom in the village that the first grains, fruits, or vegetables were offered to the queen as a gift and this time it was the Gardner's turn to make the offer.The queen of that village was a nice lady but extremely moody and short tempered. However, the gardener somehow was not aware of this. It was the time of the year when grapes could be grown at their best and so the gardener grew grapes, and decided to gift some to the queen. The queen loved to have grapes. So he packed a big bunch of grapes and took them to offer to the queen.At the palace he waited for his turn to come, but the queen was probably not in the best of her moods. As she tried one of the grapes, instead of being thankful she frowned at the Gardner and threw the grapes on his face.The Gardner was in shock but he was quick and clever to react. He said, “thank you God!&nbsp;You have been very kind!”&nbsp;On hearing this, the queen was really amazed. She asked him in amazement, “Why on earth are you thanking God?”; to which he replied, “I was going to get a watermelon for you, I am lucky I changed my mind. What if you had thrown the watermelon on my head”.The queen started laughing and her anger vanished. She not only distributed the grapes in the kingdom but also gave the gardener a gift.Moral:Wit can overpower anger.

A man was polishing his new car; his 4 yr old daughter picked up a stone and scratched on the side of the car.In anger, the furious man took his child’s hand &amp; hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all her fingers due to multiple fractures.When the child saw her father, with painful eyes she asked ‘Dad when will my fingers grow back?’ The man was very hurt and speechless.He went back to the car and kicked it many times. Devastated by his own actions, sitting in front of the car he looked at the scratches, his daughter had written ‘LOVE YOU DAD’.Moral: Anger and Love have no limit. Things are to be used and people are to be loved.

Who or What do We Love More?

Once upon a time, there was a little boy who used to get angry easily. He had a bad temper and would say things that could hurt others. He would scold everyone around due to his anger and would use harsh words on them. To help him control his anger, his father decided to teach him a lesson. He gave the little boy a bag full of nails in it. He told that he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence, every time he lost his temper.The little boy started putting the nail with a hammer on the fence every time he lost his temper. On the first day, the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Every day, he used to do the same. Over the few weeks, he learned to control his anger, and slowly, the number of nails hammered on the fence decreased. He found out that it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.Finally, the day came when the boy did not lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father then told the boy to pull out one nail for each day, he was able to control his temper. The days passed, the young boy finally removed every nail from the fence. He went to his father and informed him about the nails.His father then took him to the fence and said, “You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. The things you say in anger will leave a scar just like this one. No, matter how many times you say sorry, the scar will still be there.” The boy realized his mistake and learned to control his temper. Moral:Harsh words cause damages that cannot be cured. So, always speak kind and sweet words.

શહેનશાહ અકબરે એક દિવસ બઘા દરબારીઓ માટે ભોજન રાખ્યુ, બીરબલ પર તેમને વિશેષ પ્રેમ હતો આથી તેઓ તેને આગ્રહ કરી-કરીને જમાડી રહ્યા હતા. બીરબલ ખાઈ ખાઈને હેરાન થઈ ગયો આથી તેને શહેનશાહ જોડે માફી માગી અને કહ્યું કે. "મારા પેટમાં જગ્યા ન હોવાથી હવે હું નહિ ખાઈ શકુ, તમારી આજ્ઞા માની નહી શકુ." એટલામાં જ એક સેવક કેરી કાપીને લાવ્યો, બીરબલનું મન કેરી જોઈને લલચાયું. બીરબલે પોતાનો હાથ લંબાવીને, કેરીની થોડી ચીરીઓ પેટમાં ઉતારી લીધી. તેને આ રીતે કેરી ખાતો જોઈને અકબરને ગુસ્સો આવ્યો કે હું પ્રેમથી જમાડતો હતો ત્યારે આના પેટમાં જગ્યા નહોતી અને હવે કેવી રીતે ખવાઈ રહી છે. તેમણે તરતજ ગુસ્સામાં બૂમ પાડીને બીરબલને બોલાવ્યો. બીરબલ સમજી ગયો એમના ક્રોઘનું કારણ. તે અકબરની સામે જઈને ઉભો રહ્યો અને હાથ જોડીને બોલ્યો "જ્યારે રસ્તા પર ખૂબ ભીડ હોય છે, અને ચાલવા માટે એક પગ મૂકવા જેટલી પણ જગ્યા નથી હોતી ત્યારે જો તમારી સવારી નીકળે તો તેવી પરિસ્થિતિમાં પણ બઘાએ પોતાની મેળે જગ્યા બનાવીને તમને રસ્તો આપવો પડે છે. તેવી જ રીતે કેરી પણ બધા ફળો પર રાજ કરે છે તે પણ તમારી જેમ જ ફળોનો રાજા છે તેથી તેને જોઈને પેટમાં જગ્યા બની જ જાય છે". તેનો જવાબ સાંભળી અકબર ખુશ થઈ ગયા, તેમણે મીઠી કેરીની એક ટોપલી મંગાવી અને એક કિંમતી ભેટની સાથે તે ટોપલી બીરબલને આપી. બીરબલ આ મીઠી ભેટ મેળવીને ઘણો ખુશ થઈ ગયો.

બીરબલનું મન કેરી જોઈને લલચાયું...
