It was a regular classroom. In a corner, there sat a boy with a puddle at his feet. He had accidentally wet his pants. Then he sat there thinking about how he would be teased if anyone were to find out. The boy constantly prayed to God to help him. Just then, a girl came walking by with a goldfish bowl in her hand. She tripped in front of him and dumped the bowl of water onto his lap. The boy was relieved but pretended to be angry.The entire class as well as the teacher ridiculed the girl for being clumsy. But the boy knew in his heart that the girl had saved him from the unlimited number of teases and jibes. At the end of the day, the girl came up to him and said: “I wet my pants once too”. The boy thanked him with a grateful heart.Moral: Always try to understand others’ situations and look for ways to help them.

The Wet Pants

Once, there was a very poor boy named Paul. He lived with his family. His parents worked hard to raise their son. Paul was a very good boy and always spoke the truth. His parents taught him that “Honesty is the best policy!”One day, the King visited Paul’s small village and all the villagers came out to greet the King. The King was giving away cookies and candy. Paul and the villagers crowded near the King’s carriage to try to get some of the gifts from the King.Finally, the King got to Paul and gave him a box full of cookies and candy. Paul was so excited that he immediately rushed to home to share the candy with his family. When Paul returned home, he noticed that there was a beautiful ring among all the candy.He thought to himself that this ring could make him rich. And he and his family no longer had to worry about having enough food to eat. After thinking about what to do all the day, Paul decided to return the ring to the King.Paul went to the palace and returned the King’s ring. The King was very thankful to Paul and said to him, “Son, this is my favorite ring! You are a very honest boy and I want to reward you with lots and lots of gold coins!” When Paul’s parents got to know about his honesty, they became very happy.When Paul came home, his parents hugged him. From that day, Paul was a very rich boy and his family never went hungry again. Moral:Honesty is always rewarded. No matter how tempting the situation is, always remember to be honest over greedy.

An Honest Boy

Once upon a time there were two friends who lived in a palace with their families, who worked in service of the King. One of these boys knew a girl he liked so much that he wanted to give her a present.One day, he was walking with his friend in the main palace hall, and he saw a big vase filled with the loveliest flowers you could imagine. He decided to take one to give to the girl, thinking that no one would see him do so. He did the same thing the next day, and the next, and the next... until, one day, the King noticed how few flowers were left in the vase. He was so angry that he called everyone in the palace to assemble.When they were all before the King, the boy thought he should say it had been him who took the flowers. However, his friend told him to be quiet, because the King would be terribly angry with him. The boy was paralysed with fear, but when the King came near he decided to confess.As soon as the boy said that he had done it, the King went red with anger, but on hearing what the boy had done with the flowers, a smile appeared on the King's face, and he said,"I couldn't have thought of a better use for my flowers."And, from that day, the boy and the King became great friends. They went to the vase and took two of those wonderful flowers, one for the girl, and the other for the Queen.Moral: Honesty impresses one and all.
