Midas helped the Satyr and asked for his wish to be granted in return.The Satyr agreed and Midas wished for everything he touched to be turned to gold. His wish was granted.Extremely excited, Midas went home to his wife and daughter touching pebbles, rocks, and plants on the way, which turned into gold.As his daughter hugged him, she turned into a golden statue.Having learnt his lesson, Midas begged the Satyr to reverse the spell who granted that everything would go back to their original state.Moral of the story: Stay content and grateful for what you have. He told them that the thief’s stick would grow two inches by the next day.The next day, Birbal summoned the servants again. He noticed that a servant’s stick was two inches shorter than the others.He knew who the thief was.The foolish thief had cut the stick shorter by two inches as he thought it would grow two inches. Thus, proving his guilt.Moral of the story: Truth and justice will always prevail. <h3>4. Suddenly, two frogs in the group accidentally fell into a deep pit.The other frogs worried about their friends in the pit.Seeing how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that there was no way they could escape the deep pit and that there was no point in trying.They continued to constantly discourage them as the two frogs tried to jump out of the pit. But keep falling back.Soon, one of the two frogs started to believe the other frogs — that they’ll never be able to escape the pit and eventually died after giving up.The other frog keeps trying and eventually jumps so high that he escapes the pit. The other frogs were shocked at this and wondered how he did it.The difference was that the second frog was deaf and couldn’t hear the discouragement of the group. The ice cream van has come with the ice cream man.&nbsp; Some children have already decided what they want to eat, others want to try a new flavour.&nbsp; The ice cream man opens the shutter and smiles warmly at the kids. They all look up at him eagerly. One by one he collects their orders and the children look up at the short, tubby man as he places scoops into cones. Red, pink, white, yellow scoops of icecream fly around into cones or cups. Some are sprinkled with chocolate chips, some with syrups and the icecream man always hands an extra tissue as he hands out each ice cream. As all the children in the line get their ice creams, they smile up at him and scatter around. Everyone is satisfied and the icecream man ignites the van to start driving.&nbsp; Everybody waves at him and sees him go, waiting for him to come again the next day.

Say the magic words and you will see the magic.”The boy tried to guess the magic words. He began with “abracadabra”, but it did not work. He tried saying other magic words but none of them worked.He was tired of trying the magic words. He was exhausted so he requested the tree saying, “Please, dear tree, show me the magic.” Suddenly, a big door opened in the trunk. Everything was dark inside the door except a sign which said, “Carry on with your magic.” The boy was happy and excited to see the magic. He said, “Thank you dear tree”! and went inside the door. The inside of the tree lit up brightly and revealed a pathway leading to a great big pile of toys and chocolates.The little boy invited all his friends to the magic tree. They played different games and had the best time together.Because the little boy was polite and grateful, the tree showed its magic to him and his friends. It was not that Min had a big family. No, her family only included her mother, her father and herself. There was no need for a bigger house but Min always wanted a bigger house like all of her friends had.Her own house was pretty sufficient to meet her family’s needs but Min always just wanted to show off in front of her friends and have a bigger house. Sheconstantly whined about this to her parents and one day her wish came true when her mother got a promotion.Soon they moved to a house that had a huge garden, a treehouse and a lovely pink room for her. She was ecstatic.However soon after, despite all the luxury of the new house, it did not feel the same. She often found herself missing her old bedroom, her doodles on the walls of her old house, her mother’s cooking in the tiny kitchen.Now due to work, her parents were very busy and she did not get enough time with them.One day Min’s mother came home to see her crying and hurriedly went to calm her child. “What is wrong?” She calmly asked her little girl.Min sobbed, “Everything here is so new and I miss the old house. You and father are rarely home on time.” Her mother apologised for her absence and promised to make up for it.That weekend, Min planted saplings in the garden with her parents, decorated the treehouse, painted the walls of her room and baked cookies.Slowly, she came to love the new house just as much as she grew familiar with it and realised that it was never the amount of rooms in a house, the luxuries or the largeness of the house that mattered but the memories made and the love shared. Moral:Home is where the heart it. We soon realise that materialistic gains hardly matter, what does matter is the memories and love that we grow.

Once, in a little village near Guwahati, there was a big park. In the middle of the park, there was a huge wood and, in that wood, there was a dark and gloomy lake and, in that lake, there lived a Monster called Monstruto.Monstruto was very dangerous. He had eaten all the monsters who used to live in the lake and all the children who used to go near the lake. And due to this reason, the monster had a big round tummy. The tummy of the monster was so big that when he moved, it scraped along the bottom of the lake. He used to hold the branches of the trees around the lake so, he could move easily. Due to this, all the branches of the trees were broken and were touching the water.Monstruto was left with nothing more to eat. He had eaten all the monsters and no children used to come near the lake as they were scared.One day, a group of children was playing football near the lake. One little boy kicked the ball so hard that it landed near one corner of the lake. The hungry Monstruto saw the round thing near the corner of the lake and thought of eating it. The monster went to the corner of the lake and holding on to the branches of the trees, he swallowed the ball at once.The monsters and children who were inside the tummy of the Monstruto started playing with the ball. They began to play the game of the football and one monster kicked the ball so hard that it blew up. The air inside the ball began to escape and the monster’s tummy began to get bigger and bigger until it exploded. Due to this, all the monsters and the children came out of the Monstruto’s tummy. All the children that came out from the tummy went to their parents running and to tell them what had happened.The Monstruto’s tummy was not big and round anymore. It did not touch the ground and he was thin. He could walk around easily without grabbing the branches of the trees. The best thing was that there were many more monsters in the lake. So, Monstruto used to play with them and have fun.Monstruto decided that from now onwards he would never eat any of the monsters or children.

Just like everyone is possessive about something or the other that they are fond of, Tina was extremely fond of her school bag, so much that she believed it was so unique that no one else besides her could have one like hers. It was a beautiful pink colour bag with a three dimensional unicorn highlighted in silver at the centre. Tina loved it so much that she kept her little toys in her bag which were also her favorite, her mother was of course not aware of this and neither was her teacher.It was a general rule in school that students must label all their belongings,but this did not sound good to Tina's ears.For Tina labelling her bag meant, writing on it which Tina did not want to do as she felt that the colour would spoil the very look of it, and so she decided not to.The annual school picnic was here where lots of kids gathered. There was a specific corner where the kids kept their belongings, all labelled of course. All the kids were having a lot of fun as there was an array of activities to choose from. The time then came to go back for school.All kids rushed to collect their bags and bottles. Everyone got their bags except Tina, hell broke loose. She could not believe 'that' she was not able to find her most prized possession. She looked everywhere and finally found a bag with broken zips. It was evident that her bag had got exchanged with someone else’s but she could do nothing about it. Moral:There is no harm in following rules.
