What’s in it for you and your child?Ishaan is a little boy who is terrible in academics and constantly fails tests as opposed to his brother. This is a constant source of concern for his parents. He is sent away to a boarding school to ‘discipline’ and ‘educate’ him by his parents who fail to understand his situation. There, he meets a teacher who recognises Ishaan’s talents in art. Ishaan is diagnosed with dyslexia and is helped in overcoming it. This is a beautiful story where parents learn to understand the mental health of their child beyond just school curriculums and as a unit are taught how to cope and deal with such conditions. Taare Zameen Par is a very enjoyable film for the entire family and both parents and children can learn about multiple lesser known mental health problems in the society and how to be patient enough to deal with them.
