Chetak was the most lovable and favourite horse of Maharana Pratap. Chetak was loyal and devoted towards his master.&nbsp;The army of Mughal emperor Akbar started its way to capture Udaipur in the year 1576. A bloody battle was fought between Akbar and Maharana Pratap at the Haldighati. The battle lasted for four hours. During the battle the loyalty and courage of Chetak was impeccable. Chetak was hurt during the battle but even after being hurt, he did not give up and protected his master. He took his master – Maharana Pratap, on his back and made to the safety on only three legs.The courage and dignity of the horse towards his master was unconditional. The horse saved the king but at the end lost his life. He collapsed after taking the king to a safe place.&nbsp;Chetak was a great companion of Maharana Pratap during the battle against Akbar. He at the risk of his own life protected his master.It is believed that chetak was a very aggressive and arrogant horse. It was only Maharana Pratap who was able to handle him. He not only remained loyal to his master but also rescued his master from the battlefield.
