This happened to him in relation to a very old mirror, and he convinced his parents to buy it from a mysterious old man. When the mirror arrived home, the boy went to see his reflection in it. His face looked very sad indeed. He tried smiling and making funny faces, but his reflection continued with its sad expression.Surprised, the boy went off to buy sweets. He came home as happy as can be, to look in the mirror, but his image was still sad-looking. He bought all kinds of toys and old junk, but forever looked sad in that mirror. Fed up, the boy stuck the mirror off in a corner."Crikey, what a terrible mirror! It's the first time I've seen a mirror that didn't work properly!"That same afternoon he went into the street to play and to buy a few toys, but on his way to the park he saw a little boy who was crying his heart out. She had pending chores and her mother asked her for help in the kitchen but Manu did not want to work but just watch some television, so she refused.When she switched it on Manu’s Tv spoke, “Hello, Manu. What is wrong?”At first she was shocked to see her TV speak but then she frowned and said, “I don’t want to work, I am bored I want to watch my favourite show but it has not started yet.”The TV laughed and replied, “Should I show you a small movie then?”Manu nodded and soon the screen changed.The view was of an ancient time where a King asked to place a huge boulder in a town square.It obviously bothered people but everyone just whined and complained.Many people blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them did anything about getting the stone removed.One day, a cobbler walking in the town decided that he was sick of it and took the burden of removing the boulder on himself.He noticed that underneath the boulder was a small bag of gold coins. A note from the King read that it was a reward for the person who removed the obstacle.Manu learned her lesson and went to help her mother in the kitchen and finished her chores. Her hard work was rewarded with her favourite dish- Kheer for dinner. Moral:Every obstacle that we come across is just a way for us to improve ourselves. When she got back home, it was 12 o'clock in the afternoon and the hands of the clock were lined up together.She thought that the clock only had one hand and was thus broken. She did not bother checking again and ran to the shopkeeper, thinking that he had given her a broken clock.When she reached the shop, she said, “Uncle, one hand of this clock is missing. Her mother encourages her to play outside and this time Pam listens.She spends the entire day playing with her friends and cycling around. When it gets dark, she comes home, washes herself and sits down to read books with her grandfather at night.Pam spends the entire week playing outside with her friends and reading books in her house.As the week gets over, the computer technician comes back with the fixed computer. Pam does not even realise that an entire week ended because that is how much she enjoys her life outside of the computer screen.When the computer comes back she realises that she must use the computer in a limit and not all the time. She spends the rest of her summer break alternating between playing outside, reading and playing on the computer.

The mirror of horrors

There once was a Queen who held an art competition in her Kingdom. The painting depicting the best representation of peace would win.Many artists from far away kingdoms came to participate and many beautiful paintings were created.One such painting was of a calm river with farms and mountains in the background. The view was serene and calm. Everyone thought that this painting would win as it was perfect.However, when the winner was announced, everyone was shocked as a painting with harsh waves and lightning eating up the sky was chosen as the winner.Everyone thought that this was a mistake. However, once a closer look was given to the picture, a small boat was visible, calm despite the weather depicted in the painting.In the midst of angry and unfavorable surroundings, small raft was trying to prosper. At break time he asked everyone to form a circle, and he put himself in the middle, with his chair. "Nobody move. You're about to see something amazing." And Mario attempted sitting on the chair. Having difficulty seeing it, he missed and fell straight onto his backside. Everyone had a pretty good laugh."Wait, wait, just a slight technical problem," he said, making another attempt. But again he missed the seat, causing more surprised looks, and a few cat calls. Mario wouldn't be beaten. He kept trying to sit on the magic chair, and kept falling to the ground... until, suddenly, he tried again and didn't fall. This time he sat, hovering in mid-air...Then it was that he finally experienced the magic that his grandfather had been talking about. Looking around, Mario saw George, Lucas, and Diana - three of his best friends - holding him up, so he wouldn't fall. Meanwhile, many others he had thought of as friends had done nothing but make fun of him, enjoying each and every fall. And there the show came to an end. Leaving with his three friends, he explained to them how his grandfather had so cleverly thought of a way to show him that true friends are those who care for us, and not just any acquaintance who happens to be passing by. Even less would a friend be someone who takes joy in our misfortunes.That evening the four children went to see Mario's grandpa to pay out the bet. They had a great time listening to stories, and eating popcorn until fit to burst. And, from then on, they used the magic chair test on quite a few occasions.
