Toddlers need 11 to 12 hours of sleep at night and 1-2 hour nap. If your child is sleeping longer than this there is nothing to worry about it as far as the child is happy and fit. Go with the flow, extra sleep won’t hurt as far as the child is not unwell. Children can have an extended nap (3-4 hours). Growing age is one of the reasons for long sleep schedule. However, ensure the child sleeps for 11 to 12 hours at a stretch at night. If the child does not get enough sleep at night, nap hours can extend for long. It is always advisable to keep an eye on temperature if the child is sleeping for long.
