Things you will need: 6 zip lock bags, 6 bread slices, water, various additives (sugar, vinegar, oil, and salt.), warm location, marker How to:Label 6 bags as follows:<ul><li>Only bread slice</li><li>Bread slice and water</li><li>Bread slice and vinegar</li><li>Bread slice and salt</li><li>Bread slice and sugar</li><li>Bread slice and oil</li></ul> <ol><li>Prepare sugar solution and solution by adding 2 tablespoons of sugar and salt in 2 tablespoons of water.</li><li>Coat the bread slices with different liquids and place them in the appropriate bags.</li><li>Place the bags in a warm location with sufficient sunlight or place the bags in a warm, interior closet.</li><li>Use a tape to fix the positions of the bags so that the the heat exposure is consistent.</li><li>Observe the mold growth for the next 2-3 weeks.</li></ol> Expected results: You can expect to observe the following:<ul><li>Mold growth is the quickest in warm and moist conditions hence mold first appears in the bag with bread and water.</li><li>Next, you might observe mold growth in the bag with bread and sugar. How to:Gather at least 7-8 children in a park/in a big enough room in the house. Make the kids stand in a circle. Blow up a big balloon. The kids have to push/kick balloon in such a way that it does not touch the ground. They have to keep the balloon in the air for as long as possible. The kid’s who fails to do so, gets out. The game continues until there is one winner. One of the kids from the circle can start by hitting the balloon up. As soon as the first kid hits the balloon, (s)he has to call out a name and that kid will then take the game forward. Every kid who hits the balloon has to call out the next kid’s name so as keep the balloon up in the air.Observe children going crazy watching each other try hard to keep the balloon up in the air. This activity can be played in a group of 3-5 kids. Things you will need:One small cup, foam shaving cream, big transparent jar, dropper, water, watercolours, science. How to:Make sure that all the steps are carried out by your children. You can keep an eye on them for protection.<ol><li>In a small cup, mix any water colour with some water; you can take 2/3 different colours too or just go with one colour.</li><li>Fill 3/4th of the jar with water.</li><li>Just before beginning the experiment, spray the foam shaving cream in the jar such that it is just a bit above the water.</li><li>Next, pick some coloured water in the dropper and drop it on top of the shaving foam cloud. Observe how the colour passes through the foam cloud and into the water just like rain.</li></ol> What is happening in the activity?Shaving foam acts as a cloud.
