After his wife’s death, he was very depressed. He also lost some of his other family members after that. He was left alone with no one to help him in his home or his fields.One day, he went to Bravo the bear. He said to him, “Bravo, let’s keep the house, the plants and our garden together and sow our corn.” Bravo asked him, “But how shall we divide it afterward?” the peasant replied, “Well, you take all the tops and I will take all the roots.” Bravo agreed, and they sowed some turnips together which grew beautifully.Bravo worked hard and gathered all the turnips and then they began to divide them. The peasant said, “The tops are yours, right bravo?” The bear replied, “Yes”. The peasant cut off the turnip tops and gave them to the bravo. He then counted his roots. The bear saw the roots of the peasants and thought that the tops are of no use. They are useless. Bravo then realized that the peasant had cheated him, he felt very bad and lay down in his den.In the next spring, the peasant again came to see the bear. He said, “Bravo, let us work together again, shall we?” Bravo replied, “Only if you keep the tops and let me have the roots!” The peasant agreed.This time they sowed some wheat. A whole day passed without anyone showing any interest in them, but just before closing time, a lady walked too close to their shelf, and without realizing, knocked Lulu off the shelf. Lulu fell to the floor, right in front of the lady, and the lady's foot kicked Lulu under the stack of shelves. No one realized what had happened, and Lulu spent the whole night crying, knowing that she would be left under the shelves until she molded away. Lily, very upset, regretted her friend's bad luck but was unable to do anything. The next day, a lady with an adorable little boy seemed like she was going to buy Lily, but this did not cheer Lily up. She was thinking about her poor friend. In what was both a moment of madness and a moment of true friendship, she made one last attempt to help her lifelong friend. Just as the boy was about to grab Lily from the shelf, Lily threw herself to the floor and rolled under the shelves, ending up next to Lulu. The boy, surprised and amused, bent down and, without knowing it, picked up both Lulu and Lily. Lily ended up with a pair of broken stems, but it was a price worth paying to save her friend. And some hours later, sitting on a plate at Lulu's side, she felt like the happiest piece of spinach in the world, for managing to fulfill her dream alongside her best friend. She replied, “A potato, egg and coffee beans.” Her father told her to look closer and touch the potato. She did and noticed that they were soft. He then asked her to break the egg. She saw the boiled egg after pulling off the shell of the egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee from the cup. The rich aroma of the coffee brought smile on her face.Then, she asked to her father the reason behind doing this activity. He replied that the potato, egg and coffee beans each faced the same problem- the boiling water. However, each reacted differently. The potato went in strong and hard but in boiling water it became soft and weak. The egg was weak with a thin layer protecting its liquid until it entered the boiling water. After, keeping it into the boiling water, the inside of the egg became strong. However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were put into the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.Her father then asked her, “Which one are you? How do you respond in your difficult times? Are you a potato, egg, or a coffee bean? Moral:In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is how you choose to react to it and what you make out of it. They decided that the vegetables were getting more respect due to their nutritional values. They decided to confront the vegetables.They all met up at the kitchen counter and confessed their problems with each other. Cale the cauliflower said, “ You fruits are so colourful, tasty and sweet. Everyone loves you!”Ben the papaya argued, “No! Everyone likes you better because you are full of vitamins.”They continued arguing back and forth until a wise ant finally stepped in and said, “Stop fighting guys! You are all equally important and yummy. The world would not survive without either of you.”After much convincing, the fruits and vegetables finally stopped fighting. Onions grow in multiple colours like red, yellow white. They have a very sharp taste and are very healthy. They are used in a lot of different dishes to spice them up.Tanya was very tired. She had a long day in the market and asked her father about how long it will be until they got to go home.Her father laughed, “We just have to buy some cucumbers now. Then we can leave.”Tanya loved cucumbers. They are crunchy and tasty. She had recently found out that like tomatoes, cucumbers are also considered to be fruits. Her father said that the cucumbers have lots of vitamins and minerals and are mostly made of water.After they purchased everything, they were ready to leave.
